Job summary

Petco's Vetco Total Care hospital is seeking a Concierge to deliver outstanding client service from arrival to departure. The role focuses on patient care coordination, appointment scheduling, and first impressions for pets and their families.

You will answer phones, greet visitors, manage calendars, assist with training, ensure a clean waiting area, and support clinical staff as needed. High school diploma and one year veterinary/customer service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least 1 year experience in veterinary practice or customer-facing role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate and professional demeanor with clients and pets.
• Exceptional telephone and computer skills.
• Team player willing to learn and adapt to change.
• Preferred: Experience using a Practice Management System.

Responsibilities

• Answer the hospital phone and route calls.
• Maintain hospital appointment calendar and online bookings.
• Greet visitors/patients by name; monitor wait times and assist during delays.
• Participate in training of new staff members.
• Ensure waiting area is clean and well-stocked.
• Confirm appointments via client’s preferred communication method.
• Provide backup support to technical staff when needed.
