Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Hospital Concierge for our Vetco Total Care full-service veterinary hospital.

You will be the first/last point of contact for clients and pets, ensuring a welcoming, efficient experience and supporting the medical team as needed. Requirements include a high school diploma, at least one year in veterinary or customer service, excellent communication, and strong computer/phone skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least 1 year of experience in veterinary practice or a customer-facing role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate, empathetic and professional demeanor.
• Exceptional telephone and computer skills.
• Team player willing to learn new techniques and adapt.
• Preferred: Experience using a Practice Management System.

Responsibilities

• Answer the practice phone and route calls appropriately.
• Maintain hospital appointment calendar and online bookings.
• Greet visitors and clients by name; monitor wait times and coordinate with staff.
• Participate in training of new staff and share knowledge.
• Keep waiting area clean and well-stocked.
• Confirm appointments via client communication preferences.
• Provide backup support to technical staff when needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
