The Concierge at Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. supports the Vetco Total Care hospital by delivering outstanding client care and guiding patients and pets through visits.

You are often the first and last contact, ensuring a welcoming, efficient experience aligned with our care standards. The role requires at least a year in veterinary or customer-facing work, excellent communication, and the ability to stay composed under pressure while coordinating with hospital staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; veterinary practice experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate, empathetic and professional demeanor.
• Strong telephone and computer skills; ability to learn new software.
• Team player willing to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Answer hospital phones and route calls appropriately.
• Maintain hospital appointment calendar including scheduling and online bookings.
• Greet visitors to the practice; notify staff and monitor wait times.
• Participate in training of new staff and disseminate knowledge as required.
• Keep waiting area clean and well stocked with supplies.
• Confirm all appointments by the client’s preferred method the prior day.
• Provide backup support to technical staff when needed.
