Job summary

2nd Street Animal Hospital in Philadelphia's Northern Liberties neighborhood seeks a compassionate Veterinary Customer Service Representative (CSR)/Receptionist to join our growing team. You will be the first and last point of contact, creating an exceptional client experience while supporting veterinarians and technicians in a fast-paced hospital.

As part of Innovetive Petcare, you will join a AAHA-accredited, Fear Free Certified hospital offering advanced care for pets.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience in veterinary medicine or healthcare.
• Professional, empathetic communication.
• Ability to review client records and communicate veterinarian‑approved recommendations.
• Highly organized, dependable, and detail‑oriented.
• Thrives in a fast‑paced environment while multitasking.
• Experience with veterinary software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, compassionate experience for every client and patient.
• Answer multi-line phones, emails, and client inquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Schedule wellness, sick, surgical, and referral appointments.
• Check patients in and out while maintaining accurate electronic medical records.
• Coordinate communication between clients, veterinarians, specialists, and referring hospitals.
• Process payments and maintain accurate financial documentation.
