2nd Street Animal Hospital in Philadelphia's Northern Liberties neighborhood is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our growing team. You will be the first and last point of contact for clients, creating an exceptional experience while supporting veterinarians and technicians in a fast-paced hospital.

  • Customer service experience in veterinary medicine, healthcare, hospitality, or another client-focused industry.
  • Professional, empathetic communication with clients.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming, compassionate experience for every client and patient.
  • Answer multi-line phones, emails, and client inquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Schedule wellness, sick, surgical, and referral appointments.
  • Check patients in and out while maintaining accurate electronic medical records.
  • Review medical records to communicate doctor-approved treatment plans, estimates, discharge instructions, and follow-up recommendations.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate financial documentation.
  • Coordinate communication between clients, veterinarians, specialists, and referring hospitals.
  • Recognize when medical questions require assistance from the veterinary team.
  • Maintain organized medical records and document all client interactions accurately.
  • Support daily hospital operations through administrative and front desk responsibilities.
  • Help create a positive, collaborative workplace culture centered on outstanding patient care and client service.

2nd Street Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative (CSR)/Veterinary Receptionist to join our growing team in Philadelphia's vibrant Northern Liberties neighborhood.

As the first and last person our clients interact with, you'll play a key role in creating an exceptional client experience while supporting our veterinarians and technicians in a collaborative, fast-paced veterinary hospital. What You’ll Do

As a Veterinary Customer Service Representative, you will:

  • Create a welcoming, compassionate experience for every client and patient.
  • Answer multi-line phones, emails, and client inquiries professionally and efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who:

  • Has previous customer service experience in veterinary medicine, healthcare, hospitality, or another client-focused industry.
  • Communicates with professionalism, empathy, and confidence.
  • Can accurately review patient records and communicate veterinarian-approved recommendations while understanding appropriate medical boundaries.
  • Is highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment while successfully multitasking.
  • Enjoys working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Has a genuine passion for animals and delivering exceptional client experiences.
  • Veterinary receptionist or veterinary client service experience.
  • Experience working in an animal hospital, veterinary clinic, or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with veterinary practice management software such as ezyVet or similar systems.
  • Experience scheduling appointments and managing multi-line phone systems.
  • Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology.
