Job summary

IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Veterinary Field Support Representative to partner with Field Sales and Customer Support to grow customer accounts through education and customer-centric solutions.

You will visit customers daily, adjust your schedule for events, and occasionally support emergency practices. The role emphasizes travel, field problem-solving, and training veterinary staff to maximize system performance.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Residency in the East Ohio Valley & Pittsburgh regions (Cleveland or Pittsburgh preferred) and willingness to travel within this territory.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships to gain confidence and trust from others.
• Strong communication and the ability to collaborate with customers, management, and peers.
• Planning and prioritization skills to make quality, timely decisions.
• Effective listening skills to discover customer needs and adapt your approach.
• Comfort learning and using technology (computers, tablets, smartphones) and network knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including lifting up to 60 pounds.
• 3+ years of veterinary clinic experience with training/leadership background or Practice Manager experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• You will travel up to 75% of the time (air and car; 3–4 overnights per week); weekends and overtime may be required; remote work from home when not traveling.
• You will install IDEXX Diagnostic Imaging Systems for customers in your area.
• You will train veterinary clinic staff on best practices to maximize system performance.
• You will support critical customer visits with onsite technical troubleshooting.
• You will use a wide array of programs to plan and strategize customer visits and serve as an IDEXX ambassador.
• You will manage your schedule focusing on customer needs and your professional growth.
