Job summary

IDEXX is seeking a Field Sales Veterinary Diagnostic Consultant (VDC) to build strong relationships with veterinary customers and grow the diagnostic revenue portfolio. You will independently manage your territory, educate clinics about IDEXX diagnostics, and collaborate with regional teams to close capital equipment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of proven outside sales experience, preferably in veterinary/animal health, human healthcare, medical devices or related fields.
• Ability to travel extensively (car), some overnight travel, and weekend availability as needed.
• Hold a valid driver’s license and be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Comfortable entering veterinary clinics and hospital environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own outside sales territory and grow recurring diagnostic revenue.
• Collaborate with regional colleagues to co-sell capital equipment and technology.
• Educate and train veterinary clinic staff on IDEXX products and services.
• Communicate customer needs and competitive issues to marketing and BU management.
• Represent IDEXX values professionally and attend regional trade shows and events.
• Manage expenses and resources per company guidelines and directives.
• Adhere to IDEXX purpose and guiding principles and perform other duties as assigned.
