Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a Nursing Trainer to lead, coach, and develop teams across hospital locations. You will tailor training to diverse learning styles, drive the Cultivate program, and ensure high standards of emergency veterinary care while supporting VEG’s culture and mission.

The role involves mentoring on the floor, creating instructional content, and collaborating with leadership to lift overall team performance and patient care across the network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in veterinary technology from AVMA accredited program strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to identify individual and team training needs.
• Assess assistants and credentialed technicians through direct observation and real-time immersion.
• Drive advancement through VEG’s Cultivate program.
• Implement VEG training programs and serve as the go-to training lead at your hospital.
• Split time between on-the-floor mentoring and strategic development.
• Provide tailored, hands-on training for all learning styles and skill levels.
• Organize peer training opportunities and build a mentoring culture.
• Collaborate with nursing managers and professional networks to broaden impact.
