The role involves hiring, training, coaching, and mentoring staff, plus building schedules and managing workflow to support patient care.

The position emphasizes compliance with clinical protocols and OSHA/AAHA regulations, with opportunities to drive process improvements and collaborate with hospital leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of clinical experience (specialty or emergency experience strongly preferred).
• Supervisory or leadership experience (highly valued).
• Veterinary technician licensure (preferred).
• Strong skills in coaching, team building, and communicating across departments.
• Working knowledge of clinical protocols, OSHA guidelines, and quality assurance.
• Comfort with digital medical records and scheduling tools.
• A collaborative, problem-solving approach and strong emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team: hire, train, coach, and mentor clinical staff; manage performance reviews.
• Run daily operations: build department schedules, manage workflow, assess staffing needs.
• Be the go-to leader on the floor: handle issues, cover admin, jump in where needed.
• Keep care safe: develop and uphold clinical protocols; ensure OSHA/AAHA/state/federal compliance.
• Drive improvement: identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce risk.
• Partner with leadership: collaborate with hospital leaders to improve patient care and services.
• Ensure coverage: as one of three Clinical Support Managers, two on site weekdays, one on weekends.
