Metropolitan Veterinary Associates, Inc. is seeking a Lead Veterinary Technician - Anesthesia for Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

You will design and administer anesthesia protocols in collaboration with a veterinary anesthesiologist and care for patients through surgical and diagnostic procedures. The role requires CVT/LVT/RVT licensure preferred, strong veterinary terminology knowledge, excellent communication, organization, and leadership to coordinate

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinary technician preferred (CVT/LVT/RVT).
• Strong understanding of veterinary terminology, medications and disease processes.
• Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration.
• Ability to prioritize, stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Commitment to exceptional patient and client care.
• Leadership experience coordinating surgical workflow across doctors.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare individualized anesthesia protocols in collaboration with a veterinary anesthesiologist and other specialists.
• Administer and monitor anesthesia using advanced equipment to track vital signs and patient comfort.
• Assist during surgical and diagnostic procedures, adapting to rapid changes in patient status.
• Manage perioperative pain control and monitor medications and patient responses.
• Maintain accurate records of anesthesia protocols, drug usage, and patient responses.
• Keep a calm, organized workspace and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Engage in continuing education and case discussions with the team.
