Job summary

VCA Animal Hospitals, Inc in California is seeking a friendly receptionist to greet clients and their pets, coordinate client services, and serve as a goodwill ambassador for the hospital.

Responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling appointments, maintaining charts and computer records, handling pharmacy and retail sales, marketing support, and managing financial transactions. A High School Diploma and public-facing experience are required; veterinary hospital experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Must have experience working with the public, i.e. restaurant, retail or service business.
• Experience in a veterinary hospital or other doctor’s office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets and coordinate client services.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and maintain charts and computer records.
• Handle pharmacy and retail sales; assist with marketing and housekeeping tasks.
• Process payments, balance cash drawer, and prepare receipts.
• Communicate clearly with clients and within the hospital team.
