Job summary

VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking a client-focused team member to work in a busy veterinary setting. You will greet clients, assist with appointments, discuss fees, and help communicate treatment plans.

Strong listening skills and compassion for pets and people are essential; knowledge of veterinary terminology is preferred. The role requires flexibility for non-traditional hours, and familiarity with Microsoft Office is beneficial as you manage records and communications.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy, client-facing environment.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology is preferred.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and guide clients and their pets to exam rooms.
• Schedule and confirm appointments.
• Place outbound calls for follow-ups and outreach to prospective clients.
• Present and explain fees, including processing payments.
• Create and present treatment plans based on doctor recommendations.
• Answer questions about services and costs.
• Manage medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
