Portland VA Medical Center, part of the Department of Veterans Affairs, is seeking multiple Advanced Medical Support Assistants for the Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA campuses. The role supports clinicians in delivering timely and accurate veteran care, handling enrollment, scheduling, and records tasks as part of a dedicated VA team.

The position offers standard Federal benefits, a typical Monday–Friday schedule, and a competitive federal salary range.

Mansioni

• Determine health care eligibility for Veteran patients.
• Process enrollment, benefits, and registration tasks.
• Counsel Veteran patients regarding entitlement enrollment for health care benefits.
• Obtain essential information and documentation from Veteran patients for enrollment activities.
• Schedule appointments, cancellations, and re-scheduling for Veteran patients.
• Facilitate communication between Veterans and other facility departments.
• Provide admin support to inpatient units and wards during day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
• Process and maintain inpatient medical records.
