Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services is seeking an Examiner Nurse Practitioner to conduct Compensation & Pension disability examinations for Veterans applying for VA benefits. The role emphasizes record review, focused physical assessments, and objective medical opinions within a non-treatment framework.

The position operates Monday–Friday, Seattle, WA with about 10% travel to support other Loyal Source clinics.

Qualifications

Graduate of a professional nursing program accredited by a recognized institution.
Active, valid, and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the United States.
Minimum of one year of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including renewals.
Strong documentation, communication, and time management skills.
Basic computer skills, including MS Word, MS Outlook, Adobe PDF, and EMR systems.
Authorized to work in the United States and able to meet federal contractor requirements.

Responsibilities

Conduct C&P disability examinations for Veterans in accordance with VA requirements.
Review medical records, diagnostic testing, and supporting documentation before and during examinations.
Perform focused physical assessments related to claimed conditions.
Prepare objective, evidence-based medical opinions and complete required documentation accurately.
Use proprietary examination and case management systems to organize workload and submit findings.
Work with the Quality Assurance team to ensure reports are complete, accurate, and submitted within timelines.
Maintain compliance with VA training requirements, HIPAA, privacy standards, and Loyal Source policies.
Support other Loyal Source clinics as needed, with approximately 10% travel.
