Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services in the United States seeks a Nurse Practitioner to conduct Compensation & Pension examinations for Veterans applying for VA disability benefits. You will review medical records, perform focused assessments, and render objective opinions within VA guidelines.

The role involves travel up to 10% to other Loyal Source clinics; charting from home may be required; standard schedule Monday–Friday 8am–5pm. Active NP license and HIPAA compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional nursing school with licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license; not barred in any U.S. jurisdiction.
• At least one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Basic Life Support certification (including renewals).
• Demonstrated proficiency in comprehensive medical assessments and interpreting diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical disability examinations of Veterans, reviewing medical history and performing physical examinations.
• Assess the impact of disabilities on daily life and function; travel to other Loyal Source clinics (10%).
• Render objective medical opinions based on examination findings and record review.
• Work within the case-management system, organize workload, submit examination findings, and communicate with QA.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain additional information for thorough evaluation.
• Document examination findings accurately in medical opinions and recommendations.
• Coordinate with all Loyal Source departments to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
• Manage scheduling and availability for all C&P exams.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, privacy (HIPAA), and contract requirements.
