Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking an Examiner Nurse Practitioner to conduct Compensation & Pension disability examinations for Veterans applying for benefits through the VA. This on-site role in Gulfport, MS supports veterans with objective medical opinions and thorough documentation.

The position emphasizes non-treatment responsibilities, with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and travel ~10% to assist other Loyal Source clinics.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license in the United States.
• Minimum of one year NP experience.
• BLS certification with renewal.
• Ability to work with VA disability evaluation processes.
• Strong documentation and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct C&P disability examinations for Veterans in accordance with VA requirements.
• Review medical records, diagnostic testing and supporting documentation.
• Perform focused physical assessments related to claimed conditions.
• Prepare objective, evidence-based medical opinions and complete required documentation.
• Use proprietary exam and case management systems to organize workload and submit findings.
• Work with QA to ensure reports are complete, accurate, and timely.
