Job summary

Loyal Source seeks an Examiner Nurse Practitioner to conduct Compensation & Pension disability examinations for Veterans applying for VA benefits in El Paso, TX. The role involves medical record review, focused exams, and objective opinions without prescribing or ongoing management.

Work is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with ~10% travel to support other Loyal Source clinics. This is a non-treatment, assessment-focused position supporting veterans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional nursing program.
• Active, valid, and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong documentation, communication, and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills including MS Word, MS Outlook, Adobe PDF and EMR systems.
• Authorized to work in the United States as a federal contractor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct C&P disability examinations for Veterans per VA requirements.
• Review medical records and diagnostic testing before and during examinations.
• Perform focused physical assessments.
• Prepare objective, evidence-based medical opinions and documentation.
• Use examination and case management systems to organize workload and submit findings.
• Ensure reports are complete, accurate, and submitted within timelines.
• Maintain compliance with VA training requirements, HIPAA, privacy standards, and Loyal Source policies.
