Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services is seeking an Examiner Nurse Practitioner to perform Compensation & Pension disability examinations for Veterans applying for VA benefits. The role involves reviewing medical records, conducting focused physical assessments, and delivering objective medical opinions to support VA determinations.

This is not a treatment role, with no prescribing or ongoing patient management.

Qualifications

Graduate of a professional nursing program accredited by a U.S. Department of Education–recognized institution.
Active, valid, and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license with eligibility to practice in all states.
Minimum of one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including renewals.
Strong documentation, communication, and time management skills.
Authorized to work in the United States and able to meet federal contractor requirements.

Responsibilities

Conduct C&P disability examinations for Veterans in accordance with VA requirements.
Review medical records, diagnostic testing, and supporting documentation before and during examinations.
Perform focused physical assessments related to claimed conditions.
Prepare objective, evidence-based medical opinions and complete required documentation accurately.
Use proprietary examination and case management systems to organize workload and submit findings.
Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure reports are complete and timely.
Maintain compliance with VA training, HIPAA, privacy standards, and Loyal Source policies.
Support other Loyal Source clinics with travel as needed (approx. 10%).
