Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking an Examiner Nurse Practitioner to conduct Compensation & Pension disability examinations for Veterans applying for benefits through the VA. This role focuses on reviewing medical records, performing focused physical assessments, and providing objective medical opinions that support VA determinations. This is not a treatment position.

The role involves no prescribing and no ongoing patient management. Typical schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM in Ft.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional nursing program with NP licensure.
• Active, valid, and unrestricted NP license in the United States.
• Minimum of one year of Nurse Practitioner experience.
• Current BLS certification with renewals.
• Proven documentation and time-management skills.
• Proficient with MS Word/Outlook and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct C&P disability examinations for VA applicants.
• Review medical records and diagnostic data before and during exams.
• Perform focused physical assessments related to claimed conditions.
• Prepare objective medical opinions and accurate documentation.
• Submit findings using proprietary systems and meet timelines.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure reports are complete and compliant.
