Job summary

KIA Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) in Milwaukee is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience for a rewarding career as an Automotive Service Technician. This program offers hands-on dealership experience while leading to Kia Service Technician certification.

Veterans participate in a one-year, competency-based, GI Bill approved apprenticeship, gaining essential skills and tools needed to diagnose, service, and repair Kia vehicles. Full-time employment at a participating Kia dealership is included.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service is required.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engines and electrical systems.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics using Kia procedures.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and shop foremen.
