Job summary

Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) at Kia Retailers offers military veterans a pathway to become a Kia Certified Service Technician. The program combines hands-on training with real-world service duties within participating Kia Retailers.

As an apprentice, you will diagnose and repair vehicles, complete warranty orders, and work with mentors to earn Kia Service Technician certification while benefiting from full-time employment and GI Bill‑based support.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Experience in a technical / mechanical field
• Must be willing to complete and pass drug screening and background checks

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests in accordance with Kia and Retailer policies
• Test drive vehicles and analyze, diagnose, and repair components and systems using Kia diagnostic strategies, special equipment, and tools
• Perform services, diagnostics, and repairs in a timely fashion while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor to promote an optimal customer experience
