Job summary

Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) offers eligible Veterans a clear pathway to become Kia Certified Service Technicians through a full-time apprenticeship with a participating Kia Retailer.

The program combines hands-on vehicle repair experience with comprehensive training, leveraging GI Bill benefits and access to the tools, equipment, and support necessary to achieve Kia Service Technician certification.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge is required.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Experience in a technical or mechanical field is required.
• Must be willing to complete and pass drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests in accordance with Kia and Retailer policies and procedures.
• Test drive vehicles and analyze, diagnose, and repair components and systems using Kia diagnostic strategies, equipment, and tools.
• Perform services, diagnostics, and repairs in a timely fashion while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor to promote an optimal customer experience.
