Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience for the role of Automotive Service Technician in Waukesha, WI. This structured apprenticeship program, created by Kia America, helps veterans transition into the automotive industry while gaining hands-on experience and working towards Kia Service Technician certification.

The position offers full-time employment and the possibility of receiving a Monthly Housing Allowance through the GI Bill during the one-year program.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.
• Willingness to complete a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics.
• Complete repair orders and warranty documentation.
• Test drive vehicles and verify repair quality.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors.
