The Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience for the role of Automotive Service Technician. This opportunity offers hands-on experience and training at Kia dealerships, leading to Kia Service Technician certification. Veterans will enjoy full-time employment and may qualify for a Monthly Housing Allowance under the GI Bill during their one-year competency-based apprenticeship. Ideal candidates must have a valid driver's license and an honorable discharge from military service.

Qualifications

• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including engines and transmissions.
• Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and shop foremen.

Skills

Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Ability to work in a fast‑paced dealership service environment

Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field

Education

Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service
