Job summary

Kia America, Inc. is offering a structured Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) through Kia Retailers to transition veterans into Certified Kia Service Technicians.

Participants join full-time with a participating Kia Retailer, using GI Bill benefits and access to tools and training to achieve Kia certification. The program includes one-year competency-based apprenticeship leading to Kia Technician certification, with access to all equipment and training, and potential GI Bill

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License from any state with a clean driving record.
• Experience in a technical / mechanical field is required.
• Must be willing to complete and pass drug screening and background checks.
• Honorable Discharge

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests in accordance with Kia and Retailer policies
• Test drive vehicles and analyze, diagnose, and repair components and systems using Kia diagnostic strategies and tools
• Perform services, diagnostics, and repairs in a timely fashion while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor to promote an optimal customer experience
