Job summary

Kia America, Inc. invites qualified Veterans to join the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) as full-time apprentices. The program provides hands-on training, certification toward Kia Service Technician status, and access to all tools and vehicles needed.

Participants benefit from a one-year GI Bill approved apprenticeship, potential Monthly Housing Allowance, and the chance to advance within Kia Retailers after completion.

Qualifications

• Honorable discharge from military.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in a technical or mechanical field is required.
• Must be willing to complete and pass drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests in accordance with Kia and Retailer policies and procedures.
• Test drive vehicles, analyze and diagnose components using Kia diagnostic strategies and tools.
• Perform services and repairs promptly while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor to ensure a great customer experience.
