Job summary

Kia Retailers invite skilled Veterans to start a career as a Kia Certified Service Technician through the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP). This full-time opportunity provides a one-year, GI Bill approved apprenticeship leading to Kia Service Technician certification, with access to tools, equipment, and training.

Eligible Veterans may apply for a substantial GI Bill Monthly Housing Allowance during the apprenticeship, with potential for full-time employment upon

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge
• Valid driver's license from any state with a clean driving record
• Experience in a technical / mechanical field
• Willing to complete and pass drug screening and background checks

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests in line with Kia and Retailer policies
• Test drive vehicles and diagnose components using Kia diagnostic strategies and equipment
• Perform services, diagnostics, and repairs in a timely fashion while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor
