Job summary

Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists, Inc. (VRSI) seeks an Employment Specialist for the Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program (HVRP).

You will guide veterans from intake through eligibility, training, placement, and follow-up to achieve stable, livable-wage employment in in-demand occupations. Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher required; related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in workforce development, employment services, or related field.
• Reliable transportation and use of a personal vehicle; mileage reimbursed at current federal rate.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Meet with veterans to learn skills, work history, interests, and barriers to employment.
• Develop personal employment plans with career goals, next steps, and timelines; update as progress is made.
• Provide job readiness training: resume writing, job search strategies, interview preparation, and professional conduct.
• Build and maintain relationships with local employers to identify suitable job opportunities and support job placements.
