Job summary

Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists, Inc. (VRSI) seeks an Employment Specialist for the Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program (HVRP) to assist veterans experiencing homelessness in finding and retaining employment.

You will guide clients from intake through eligibility, job readiness, placement, and follow-up, coordinating with partners and reporting on outcomes. Ideal candidates have a background in workforce development, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work across offices

Qualifications

• Associate degree in social work, human services, counseling, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in workforce development, employment services, or related field.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; mileage reimbursed at federal rate.

Responsibilities

• Meet veterans to learn skills, work history, and barriers to employment.
• Develop personal employment plans with goals, next steps, and timelines.
• Coordinate with employers and community partners to place veterans in suitable roles.
• Provide job readiness training and workshops, resume writing, and interview prep.
