Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Vertical Sales Specialist for Matting Solutions in the United States. You will drive revenue in defined districts, coordinate large, technically complex projects, and promote the full Matting Solutions offerings with field sales and operations teams.

You will train and mentor Sales Reps, partner with Regional Product Development, and leverage Salesforce to manage opportunities. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Minimum 7 years sales and/or operations management experience.
• Proficiency with Salesforce.com and MS Office (Word/Excel).
• Strong sales and customer focus/service skills.
• Understanding of business accounting principles and P&L profitability; business acumen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate and influence all levels of the sales/management team.
• Strategic thinker with strong collaboration skills.
• Up to 50% travel; overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Work with field sales team to discover projects related to specific product or vertical.
• Utilization of Salesforce (SFDC): entering, tracking and closing related project opportunities.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, representing United Rentals Matting Solutions by working closely with contractors bidding work.
• Attend pre-construction meetings to communicate project details and 'hand off' project to Operations Management.
• Design of solutions with support from operations and field sales team.
• Submittal of system solutions to bidding contractors.
• Close win opportunities in construction/infrastructure markets.
• Change order submittal.
• Mentor OSRs on Matting Solutions product offerings in specific vertical.
• Liaison between customer and operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
