Job summary

Concentra is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to join our patient care team. The MSS performs routine medical testing and procedures under clinician supervision and supports front and back office tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities include DOT/non-DOT testing, vitals, specimen collection, assist clinicians, manage documentation, and ensure safety and HIPAA compliance in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship highly preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant.
• Military medical specialist experience (must meet credentials in the state of employment) may be considered.
• State requirements and applicable regulations determine credentials for employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Take vitals and prepare patients for examinations, including required ancillary testing.
• Assist providers during examinations and treatments.
• Triage emergent patients and perform routine medical procedures as ordered by clinicians.
