Job summary

Concentra is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to perform routine medical procedures under supervision and support in front and back office operations. You will ensure high-quality patient care, accurate documentation, and a smooth patient experience in a fast-paced setting.

You will handle DOT/non-DOT testing, intake, vital signs, vaccines, phlebotomy, and assist clinicians while maintaining HIPAA compliance and professional communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant, OR military medical specialist experience (must meet credentials in the state of employment).

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including vital signs and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examinations and treatment.
• Triage emergent patients as needed and manage routine medical procedures.
