Job summary

AEG is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee venue events, staff scheduling, maintenance, security, and guest relations at our Austin-area venues. You will support the General Manager and manage on-site operations, budget decisions, and staffing for concerts and events.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in business management and 6–8 years of relevant experience, with strong leadership, accounting knowledge, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in Business Management or related field.
• 6-8 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles.
• Computer savvy; proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Previous production experience, including scheduling, managing staff, and payroll.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate teams.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of management and vendors.
• Knowledge of sound and lighting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee venue events and shows, ticketing, and show settlements.
• Analyze event calendars and determine staffing levels.
• Oversee venue maintenance and security.
• Manage day-to-day office operations and supplies.
• Oversee guest relations and resolve escalated issues.
• Advise General Manager on budget allocation and monthly forecasts.
• Oversee all operations in the General Manager’s absence.
