Job summary

AEG in Austin, TX is seeking a Manager Operations to oversee venues and events across the region. You will lead day-to-day operations, market shows, work with the General Manager on event needs, and partner with production to advance shows within budget while ensuring top-tier service.

The role requires coordinating with staff, crafting policies, managing inventory, and overseeing vendor contracts, with a focus on safe, efficient environments and strong customer experiences.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of related work experience.
• Experience in venue and events operation, tours, including artist communication and settlements.
• Computer savvy with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Music industry and live music experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Project managing shows; coordinate with client or tour managers to meet needs and resolve issues.
• Develop policies and procedures with operations team, assist in planning and cost estimates.
• Ensure high level of customer service; manage day-of-show operations and artist hospitality.
• Oversee day-to-day office administration: staff schedules, timekeeping, hiring, supervising.
• Procure equipment and supplies; negotiate vendor contracts and maintain relations.
• Engage in venue improvements; obtain bids, ROI analyses, and oversee projects to completion.
• Handle day-of-show settlement, invoices and payroll discrepancies.
