Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. in Tennessee Ridge seeks a Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist to facilitate and manage the transportation of customer vehicles within an assigned region.

You will coordinate with carriers, monitor VIN holds and delays, process orders in AS400, and generate performance reports for leadership. The role requires strong communication, data entry accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years administrative experience (in automotive industry preferred).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to work independently in a matrix environment to execute and deliver results.
• Excellent customer service and multi-tasking skills.
• High attention to detail including precise data entry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with a high sense of urgency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License and the ability to pass a background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and manage the transportation process of customer vehicles within the region.
• Communicate via recorded line phone system and manage emails across locations.
• Manage escalated VINs with peers and agents; monitor holds and verification delays.
• Process AutoIMS for trans delay holds, cancellations, ETA's.
• Follow up with carriers daily on VINs; request hold harmless/releases.
• Investigate VIN kickbacks by carriers to re-dispatch units.
• Create and manage corrective action of a vendor; monitor data accuracy.
• Enter all manual orders and process AS400 system orders.
• Process fees and post assessorial charges to records.
• Understand margin relative to position and track margin requirements.
• Monitor and correct master data files for location errors.
• Measure performance and provide analytics for clients and vendors.
• Report on performance results to management and executives; generate reports.
• Compile vehicle transportation related data and generate reports.
• Follow all job-related duties as directed by supervisor.
• Be an outside-the-box thinker who can solve problems quickly.
