Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an on-site inspector in San Antonio, TX to verify vehicle information, document findings, and perform end-of-day procedures. You will conduct thorough inspections, write ECRs, and stay current with system capabilities and safety standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED and strong communication skills. Expect exposure to variable outdoor conditions, potential overtime, and a comprehensive benefits package including PTO and parental leave.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Generally, less than 2 years of related experience.
• Safe driver’s license required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle information based on work order; identify damage, missing parts, and mechanical problems by inspecting all customer vehicles at time of receipt.
• Prepare and complete all necessary documentation.
• Set up system for day-end; perform day-end procedures.
• Maintain knowledge to ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
• Write electronic condition reports (ECR).
• Conduct OVE courtesy walks around inspections.
• Maintain knowledge of system capabilities and needed software packages and web-based applications.
• Maintain knowledge of improvements and changes concerning body mechanics, frame labor, inspection techniques, etc.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety activities; work overtime as needed.
