Cox Automotive seeks an Inspector Apprentice for on-site work at a Cox location. Schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with hourly wages from $15.10 to $22.60 and potential commissions or incentive programs.

Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, documenting findings, performing day-end procedures, and writing electronic condition reports. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and follow directions.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with computers and common software.

Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle information and identify damage or mechanical problems during receipt.
• Prepare and complete all necessary documentation.
• Set up for day‑end and perform day‑end procedures.
• Write electronic condition reports (ECR).
• Conduct OVE courtesy walks around inspections.
• Maintain knowledge of system capabilities and web‑based apps.
• Stay updated on inspection techniques and changes.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned; overtime may be required.
