Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking an Inspector to verify VIN, mileage, and sub-series data, and to record exterior and interior vehicle conditions for online vehicle exchange processes.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to multitask, and basic knowledge of automotive systems. Candidates must have a high school diploma and a valid drivers license. Comprehensive benefits are provided along with paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• 0-2 years of body shop, mechanical, claims adjuster or estimating experience.
• Must pass Inspector Certification Exam within 90 days.
• Valid drivers license required.

Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle identification and enter accurate vehicle information into the inspection system (VIN, mileage, sub series).
• Inspect equipment and options, documenting results including damage, missing or inoperable items.
• Inspect exterior condition: tires, frame, glass, panels and mechanical components.
• Inspect interior condition: seats, dashboard and options.
• Complete and verify data entry for vehicle condition documentation.
• Perform post-sale inspections and walk-around inspections for the OVE process.
