Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Inspector to verify VINs, mileages and sub-series in our inspection system. You will inspect exterior and interior conditions, document damages, and complete data entry to support post-sale inspections and the online vehicle exchange process.

The role requires basic automotive knowledge and a valid driver’s license. Candidates should be comfortable with standing for long periods, bending and kneeling, and working in a typical office environment with some outside

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• 0-2 years of body shop, mechanical, claims adjuster or estimating experience.
• Must pass Inspector Certification Exam within 90 days.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle identification and enter accurate vehicle information into the inspection system limited to correct VIN, mileage and sub series.
• Inspect vehicle equipment and options, documenting results including damage, missing or inoperable items.
• Inspect and record vehicle exterior condition, including tires, frame, glass, panels and mechanical components.
• Inspect and record the vehicle interior condition, including seats, dashboard and options.
• Complete and verify data entry in support of documentation of vehicle condition.
• Perform and document post sale inspections (PSI) and walk around inspections in support of online vehicle exchange (OVE) process.
• Other duties as needed or required
