Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking inspectors to document vehicle condition and perform post-sale and walk-around inspections for online vehicle exchanges.

The role requires basic vehicle knowledge, meticulous data entry, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Responsibilities include verifying VINs, inspecting equipment, documenting exterior and interior damage, and reviewing reports with inspectors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 0-1 years of body shop, mechanical, claims adjuster or estimating experience.
• Must pass Inspector Certification Exam within 90 days.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Enter basic vehicle identification information into the database.
• Inspect vehicle equipment and options and document results.
• Assess and database enter exterior vehicle damage.
• Inspect interior, tires, frame and mechanical components.
• Complete and verify data entry in support of vehicle condition documentation.
• Perform post sale inspections (PSI) and enter results in database.
• Document walk around inspections for OVE process.
• Review vehicle condition reports with inspectors and advise on results.
• Attend meetings to share information and complete training requirements.
