VDC Engineer — BIM Coordination for Major Projects

Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced VDC/BIM coordination professional to lead BIM coordination on Augusta, GA projects. You will collaborate with design partners, trades, and clients to review models, manage submittals, RFIs, and VDC workflows on site.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a VDC-related field, 4+ years of experience, and strong proficiency with BIM tools including Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. CM-BIM is preferred and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in VDC or related field with at least 4 years of experience or equivalent
• Proficiency with BIM coordination, RFI processes, and submittals
• Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specs, and schedules
• Knowledge of industry standards, codes related to VDC
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools
• Basic scripting/coding skills (e.g., Dynamo, Python)

Responsibilities

• Lead VDC reviews and BIM coordination on projects
• Coordinate with stakeholders for BIM execution plans and schedules
• Manage VDC meetings, file management, and document control
• Prepare and review BIM coordination process, submittals, RFIs
• Develop constructability solutions on site and communicate findings
• Support QA/QC through variance reporting and takeoffs
• Explore and deploy innovative VDC tools for improvement
