Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks a qualified VDC Engineer to lead Virtual Design & Construction coordination, review design models on site, and collaborate with preconstruction and reality capture teams. You will support BIM execution, RFIs, submittals, and model-based takeoffs across complex projects.

The role requires strong communication, deep BIM tool knowledge (Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, ACC), and a constructability focus with on-site presence. Travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in VDC or related field with minimum 4 years experience or equivalent
• Able to read/interpret contract documents, drawings, specs and schedules
• Knowledge of industry standards and BIM processes
• Ongoing education credits for CM-BIM designation (preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead VDC processes and BIM coordination meetings with stakeholders
• Coordinate file management, document control, and SOP adherence
• Review BIM coordination models and track action items
• Support RFIs and submittals through BIM workflows
• Develop constructability solutions on site with VDC team
• Utilize BIM tools to support 4D modeling, takeoffs, and schedule sequencing
• Capture lessons learned for continuous improvement
