Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Engineer to join our growing team. You will support design-build activities, drive BIM coordination for 3D/2D workflows, and collaborate with design teams, subcontractors, and project managers across the project lifecycle.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s degree in AEC fields, 2+ years in the industry with VDC/BIM experience, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and cloud-based BIM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in AEC fields is required.
• 2+ years in the AEC industry with MEP coordination.
• Minimum 2 years with VDC/BIM processes.
• Solid construction principles knowledge.
• 3+ years with listed BIM tools and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support design-build teams to enable 3D/2D coordination.
• Liaise with design teams and subcontractors on BIM tasks.
• Provide technical support for in-house applications.
• Assist Pre-Con with quantities extraction and scheduling.
• Coach teams in BIM best practices.
• Coordinate 3D content and model discrepancies.
• Perform 4D/5D analyses with scheduling and estimating teams.
• Document clash detection and assist conflict resolution.
• Take-off material quantities for conceptual estimates.
• Manage model changes through updates and as-builts.
• Serve as information manager and gatekeeper for project.
