Job summary

Clayco is seeking a VDC Engineer to join its growing Digital Practice. You will support design-build workflows, coordinate 3D/2D BIM content, and drive BIM best practices across teams.

Travel to job sites is required as projects nationwide demand collaborative coordination and up-to-date model management. Ideal candidates have a BS in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, 2+ years in AEC with VDC/BIM experience, and proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management is required.
• 2+ years of experience in AEC industry, specifically MEP coordination.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with VDC/BIM processes.
• Solid knowledge of construction principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement Clayco’s Digital Practice Technology across design, pre-construction, construction, and handover.
• Coordinate 3D/2D information with the design-build team and subcontractors.
• Provide technical support for in-house BIM apps and tools.
• Assist Pre-Con with quantities extraction and scheduling.
• Coach project teams in BIM best practices and standards.
• Model coordination and clash detection within 3D models and resolve conflicts.
• Perform material quantity take-off for conceptual estimating using BIM technologies.
• Manage model changes through design updates and as-built conditions.
