Fremont Unified School District is seeking a Van Driver to support student transportation services. The role requires a California Class C license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of the district’s van driving training program.
This position may require meeting the six-month goal to obtain an unrestricted Special Driving Certificate. Applicants should have three years of California Class C licensed driving experience and be prepared for the district’s screening and testing

The goal of the Van Driver is to obtain training for, and obtain, an unrestricted Special Driving Certificate to drive a Type 2 school bus with an Automatic Transmission within six (6) months of hire.

Those who pass the written examination will be invited to a Performance and Interview Panel with subject matter experts, Date: TBD.
Based on the final scores, a ranked candidate list will be established.
Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a final interview with the hiring administrator.

The Fremont Unified School District is a Merit System District and fills all vacancies in the classified service through competitive examinations.
