Job summary

EY-Parthenon in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco seeks an Associate-Consultant to join the Strategy and Execution Value Creation practice. You will work on transactions spanning due diligence, carve-outs, integrations, and post-acquisition planning to maximize EBITDA upside.

You will partner with senior clients, develop actionable insights from data, and drive performance improvements with a focus on revenue, cost, and working capital.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics with 1 year of related work experience.
• Strategy and operations management consulting experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving/modeling skills, and the ability to translate complex data into insights.
• Experience in operational due diligence, restructuring, and performance improvement.
• Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Deep understanding of financial statements and operating metrics.
• Experience leading and managing in complex business environments.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and adapt quickly to new challenges.
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
• Role requires in-person client site or EY office at least 60% of the time (3 days a week).
• Must reside in or commute to the office location.
• Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational focused projects across the transaction lifecycle, including due diligence and integration planning.
• Support value creation through EBITDA upside, revenue enhancement, cost and margin improvement, and working capital reduction.
• Contribute to post-acquisition 100-day and ongoing performance improvement planning.
• Engage in client pursuits, including presentations and meetings, and support practice development initiatives.
