Job summary

Posterity Group LLC is staffing The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center with Medical Coders. This role focuses on accurate image attachment to electronic health records and precise indexing of veteran documents.

Responsibilities include QA of all submissions, locating FINs, and linking documents to correct veteran records in Cerner/Oracle, with prior VA healthcare coding experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active coding credential (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or equivalent).
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Cerner/Oracle or comparable EHR systems.
• Data entry with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Prior VA or federal healthcare coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attach images to the correct EHR elements accurately.
• Verify that images are uploaded correctly and legible for viewing.
• Locate FINs and link documents to the correct veteran record.
• Index documents within the correct section, note title, date of service, and visit location.
• Perform 100% internal QA on all work before submission.
