Job summary

Posterity Group LLC is staffing The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center with Medical Coders. The role requires knowledge of medical clinics, FINs linkage, document indexing, and QA of imaging and records in Cerner/Oracle.

Active coding credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or equivalent) and at least 3 years of experience are required, with preference for VA or federal healthcare coding backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Active coding credential required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Cerner/Oracle or comparable EHR systems preferred.
• Knowledge of VA or federal healthcare coding is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attach images to electronic health record elements.
• Verify images are uploaded correctly and legible for viewing.
• Locate FINs and link documents to the correct veteran record.
• Index documents in the correct section, note title, date of service, and visit location.
• Perform 100% internal QA on all work before submission.
