Job summary

Posterity Group LLC is staffing The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center with Medical Coders. The coder will attach images to EHR elements, verify legibility of uploads, locate FINs, and link documents to veteran records in Cerner/Oracle. Indexing and 100% QA are required before submission.

Requirements include knowledge of medical clinics, data entry skills, and active coding credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC or equivalent). At least 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical clinics and clinical documentation.
• Ability to locate FINs and link documents to veteran records.
• Indexing documents by section, note title, date of service, and visit location.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Responsibilities

• Attach images to the correct electronic health record elements.
• Verify images are uploaded correctly and legible for viewing.
• Locate FINs and link documents to the correct veteran record in Cerner/Oracle.
• Index documents by section, note title, date of service, and visit location.
• Perform 100% internal QA before submission.
