Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a licensed NP or PA to conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations and complete DBQs in accordance with VA guidelines. You will review patient history, perform thorough physical assessments, and prepare clear medical reports while ensuring HIPAA and regulatory compliance.

The role supports flexible scheduling (FT/PT/PRN) with no on-call duties, offering competitive compensation and a collaborative team environment. Experience in veterans’ health is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license required.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
